Keyboard shortcut collisions with Quick Filter (Alt+letter)

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Keyboard shortcut collisions with Quick Filter (Alt+letter)

Post by *Georgo »

I've been using the quick search feature set to Alt+letter for quite some time. Since 7.50b (currently pb4), however, some letters seem to be colliding with other keyboard combinations.

A typical example would be Alt+T, which should normally look for files starting with T, but instead opens the Network Neighborhood. Pressing AltGr+T opens the Control Panel instead.

No changes have been made to the configuration. Problem occurs after installing the public beta, both on Windows Vista and Windows 7 RC.

Thanks for your time!

I can not confirm that. Have you defined Alt+T for cm_OpenNetwork ?

Alt+T works fine here too if the right option is checked in the Quicksearch configuration.
chmod a+x /bin/laden -- Allows anyone the permission to execute /bin/laden

How do I un-overwrite all my data?

I'm not aware of any differences in quick search handling between TC 7.5 beta 4 and TC 7.04a either (regarding Alt+Letters). Can you please describe what exactly works differently?
