[TC 8.0b20 x64] Lister opens up with minimal size

Post by *titanium »

An issue I've noticed using beta20 x64 version only.

When I open the lister (F3) the window has a very small size (just enough to contain the minimize, maximize. close buttons).

Changing the size does not help. The next invocation of the lister will show the same minimal size.

Didn't notice this issue in beta18 and the issue does not exist in x32.

Confirmed when using a clean ini-file.

Work-around:
Expand Lister to the desired size and click Options -> Save position.

This bug in the default size of Lister is new to beta 20 - wasn't present in beta 19

Thanks, I will fix it. It seems to happen when I minimize Lazarus while a certain form is open, and then close Lazarus. It seems to happen because of some changes I had to make to the Lazarus class library, to prevent that all lister windows are minimized/restored when the main TC window is minimized. The same code is used by Lazarus itself too, so I get this bad behaviour...

Workaround does not work for me (b20, 64bit).
It always comes up with minimal size.

Which entry in the ini-file controls the size?

Code: Select all

[Lister]
Maximized=
x=
y=
dx=
dy=

Workaround works fine here in same version - maybe your ini-file is placed in a directory where you don't have write permision?

Just to make it completely clear: clicking Options -> Save position is in Listers menu - not in TC's main menu.
