Solved [TC 8.0] Sometimes directories are not sorted correctly

Post by *petermad »

This applies to all beta versions of TC 8.0, but not to TC 7.57a - so therefore I consider it to be a bug.

To reproduce:

1. Start TC 8.0 with a clean ini file.
2. Set Configuration -> Options... -> Display -> Sorting directories -> Like files (also by time).
3. Make a test directory and enter it.
4. Make three folders named 1, 2 and 3 (if you use a FAT drive be sure to create them in that order).
5. Copy some file that is not zero-length to folder 2.
6. Go to the test directory and press Ctrl+F7 - now the order of the folders should be: 1,2,3.
7. Press space on folder 2 - now the size of the file inside dir 2 is shown in the size column.
8. Press Ctrl+F6 - now the order of the folders is: 2,1,3.
9. Press Ctrl+F7 - now the order of the folders is: 1,3,2 - but it should be 1,2,3.
10. Press Ctrl+R - now the order of the folders is: 1,2,3 as expected, but the size of the dir is cleared to <DIR>.
11. Press space on dir 2 once again (remaining in non-sorted mode).
12. Press Ctrl+R - the size of the dir is NOT cleared to <DIR> as it was in line 10.

I'm not aware of any change which could cause that, but I will check it.
