+[TC8.50b15 32bit]MRT:Wrong file mask at startup

Post by *white »

* Start Multi-Rename Tool
* Enter a File name mask beginning with "[N]" for example "[N][C]"
* Close Multi-Rename Tool
* Close and restart Total Commander
* Start Multi-Rename Tool
* File name mask shows "[N][C]" but it does not work according to preview and when starting the rename operation

Bug introduced in Total Commander 8.01 release candidate 2.
Total Commander 8.01 release candidate 1 still works OK.
HISTORY.TXT only shows this change concerning multi-rename tool:
26.06.12 Fixed: Multi-rename tool: Controls were not sized correctly on initial start (32)
So perhaps the problem is for 32 bit only.

Not here - here it shows [N].

It seems to only happen when TC is started with /i= parameter.

It seems to only happen when TC is started with /i= parameter.
It looks like it.

If I make a new ini-file test.ini and start with the /i=test.ini it happens, but if I start with /i=wincmd.ini and wincmd.ini is my current ini-file it doesn't happen though.

Yes, it has nothing to do with the /i= parameter. It has to do with the contents of the ini file.

It depends on the Resolution-dependent data.
I have

Code: Select all

[1280x1024 (8x16)]
RenameX=182
RenameY=209
[RenameTemplates]
0=[N]---
If I remove the RenameX or RenameY line. The problem occurs.

I could reproduce the problem - it's caused by a Windows bug.
