[TC9x x64] Sync Dirs: Buttons not responding

Post by *knsphinx »

In Menu "Commands/Synchronize Dirs" the buttons in the group box "Show:" dosn't respond.
In TC9x(x86) it's ok and when I go back to TC9x(x64) it's working too.

Hi, knsphinx.

Sorry to say so; but I cannot reproduce this problem:
+ Total Commander 9.0rc1 64-bit
+ Total Commander 9.0rc1 32-bit
+ Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit
Clicking the "show" buttons [=>], [=/=], [=], [<=], [duplicates], [singles] will result in visible change here everytime.

Best regards,
Karl

Hi Karl,

I tried to reproduce the problem again and it seems to be my mistake. I did not wait for all directories to be read.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Sorry, but the same problem again!
My settings: Asymetric, Subdirs and ignore date checked, then [Compare] pressed and the different files are displayed.
After [Synchronize] the different files are copied/deleted.
Then the group box buttons [->] [=] ... have no reaction, only the tooltips are shown.
The same procedure in TC 9.b1 32bit is ok and after change to TC 9b1 64bit it works correct too.

Best regards,
knsphinx

Do you really mean beta1? Or is it RC1? This is an important difference! If you're really using beta1, you should try it again with RC1.

@Dali:
Currently I am using TC9 beta1, but the same problem was already in the beta versions.

As Dalai already said, we are at version TC 9 RC1
Beta1 was the first public beta version which no one should use today.

Hmm, I cannot reproduce this in TC9rc1 x64 under Windows 7

Which OS are you using - under Windows 10 (and 8) it is quite difficult to see when those buttons are activated, although there should be a dotted square around the symbols on the buttons when activated.

My OS is Windows 10 Home V1607. The [=] button remains gray and also the rectangles do not appear.

But I have made a new experience: I moved one complete directory to another place in the tree and compared again. The comparison lasted longer (some seconds, to see in the status bar) and the buttons respond correct. A second compare is very fast. I use more than 200 files in about 20 dirs. After a real (=long) scan the error disappears and can not be reproduced thereafter. Is there a cache anywhere?

I think this is the same bug as this: http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=319454#319454

So notice that it only happens if the last selected dir for synchronization is chosen from the Directory hotlist opened with a double-click on the current directory bar over the file panel.

That's right, also in TC(x64) 9.0RC3.
