After installing TC 9.0a 64 bit on a new system and copying wincmd.ini across from the old system, I find that TC no longer remembers the column widths I have set from one session to the next, even though I click on Save Position and Save Settings after setting them as I want. The columns I mean are those headed Name, Ext, Size, Date, Attr in the file list.
Is there any way of fixing this? I’m pretty sure it is not the behaviour I saw on my old system.
Column widths not preserved between sessions

All four options under Save on exit are checked: Directories, Panels…, Old command lines, Directory history.sqa_wizard wrote:Make sure to set the option to your needs:

In wincmd.ini I find the following possibly relevant settings:
Tabstops=362,370,446,321,878,93
and
[Tabstops]
0=62
1=73
3=149
4=-1
6=729
5=93
AdjustWidth=0

It sounds like your wincmd.ini file is not writeable - make sure you have permission to write to the fileeven though I click on Save Position and Save Settings after setting them as I want.
