Weird CRASH running as Administrator
Hi,
I have checked in versions since 852a to 9.12 and the issue is present in all so I think not related to TC.
I'm in Windows 10 build 17046 and I haven't noticed this until now so I think it is related to Windows build.
The issue is :
When I start TC from my shortcut (running as Administrator) first time after starting the PC, all works as expected.
If I click on an *.exe, *.torrent or some other files, there's a crash and I have to force close TC.
When I try to start again TC from the shortcut or Windows Explorer running as Administrator, there's a new crash and can't start it as administrator until I restart the system.
The crash doesn't happen when TC is not runnig as administrator or if I start TC as administrator from PowerShell (Admin) console.
The Task manager doesn't show any TC process but TC Processes plugin can show several TC instances running after the crash.
It is a very weird issue and only happens when running program as administrator and never seen before so, I guess it has something to do with the Windows Insider build.
Anybody can reproduce the issue or is something in my system?.
I'll update when the Windows build updates to let know if the issue persists.
THANKS...

I do not have this problem, so I need more information. What error message is shown?

Hi,
I don't get any visible error message.
I have uploaded a video recording to my onedrive so you can see the issue. It is hard to explain.
https://1drv.ms/v/s!Ah97aUttKnImi6Nk48UcFckLx_Xprg
The sliding doors sound means an app is closed.
The shortcut I click right in TC button bar is for tcrestar.exe.
The TC shortcut in the Task Bar is set to Run as Administrator in Advanced Properpies.
Let me know if you need anything more.
MANY THANKS for the help...

Have you set any Compability setting for your shortcut (right-click properties) - maybe that could be the problem since you can start TC as administrator from PowerShell (Admin) console. When I start TC from my shortcut

Hi,
No other setting than Run as Administrator in the 'Advanced' button in Shortcut tab of the Task Bar shortcut Properties.
Besides, I changed nothing before the issue appeared.
You couldn't reproduce it, right?.
Very weird.
I blame something in the last Insider build of Windows for it. When next one releases, I expect the issue disappears.
