Hiding C drive
Hi All,
How is it possible that I cannot see my (local) C drive in Total Commander but it is visible in Windows Explorer? It probably has to do with safety settings because of the paranoid company I am working for at the moment but how do they achieve that (and how can I enable it again.. I mean what kind of safety do you get if you allow Explorer and ban TC )
Thanks in advance,
Rob

Maybe, they have set the Allowed key in wincmd.ini?

I guess Flint is right. So if you want to circumvent this restriction you may start TC with commandline Parameter /i=path\to\new\wincmd.ini
Make sure you have write access and the directory exist - otherwise TC will work only with default values and you are not able to change any setting.

Allowed= Allowed drives -> restrict drive access! Example: Allowed=cde \ stands for 'Network Neighborhood'

But what exactly do you mean by:
I am talking about, that maybe the company has used the allowed= parameter to restrict robwn's access to drive c: - but of course that would only be the case if it is the company that has installed his TC. And again why put in restrictions for TC and not for Explorer. What are you talking about peter

you are missing some keyword
