Feature request: Special Folders in Favourites

Post by *Charla »

Hello,

I have small feature request. When I connect my player, which is not like ordinary Mass storage drive, but in This computer (also in TC) You can see Player -> Memory Card -> Folders.... I Access to the player memory card and after that I would like to save location to my favourites list (CTRL+D). But after I select "Player" from this list nothing happens.
In Settings I can see this: "cd ::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\\\?\usb#vid_0fce&pid_0166#42583930324c42465532#{6ac27878-a6fa-4155-ba85-f98f491d4f33}\SID-{10001,,15796797440}"

Please can You add ability to add these special non mass storage drivers to the favourite list?
BTW I am so sorry for my English, I hope You'll understand.
Thanks for reading and have a nice day,
With regards,
Chibi Charla

Does the mp3-player appears in the breadcrumb-bar?
Can you use the breadcrumb-bar as a work-around?

What is breadcrumb-bar?
The player doesn't appear in pull-down drives list, and doesn't appear in drives bar. It's not like normal Drive (with letter:) but it's device
When I access the Flash drive across ".." -> Player -> Memory Card, I see "\\Memory Card" in the path Bar. But "\\Memory Card" in favourite places doesn't work - player is not network drive.

Picture out of the official Total Commander Gallery:

Breadcrumbbar
There is a editable pathfield above the filewindow. One can configure it in the TC-Options for to have dropdown menus out of the folders. It gives you the opportunity to jump to the drives/folders. Navigating element, Cascading menus, known from the win-start menu or internet pages.

Edit: Removed picture from TCs Bugreport

No It doesn't appear. When I access to "This computer" via this menu, I can see the player name and after click on that: http://charla.pikachu.cz/Web/TC.png
And I want to this memory card in the favourite places, or folder on this card eg. Memory Card\Music

Sony Ericcson Xperia Mini Pro

Post by *Stance »

Edit: The closest place I can get to this via directory menu is:

Network
cd ::{F02C1A0D-BE21-4350-88B0-7367FC96EF3C}

or

Network Neighborhood
cd ::{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D}

Tragbare Geräte (Samsung GT-I9100)
In this german thread are similar Android-devices which also do not show up with a drive letter in Windows.

Here is the Google translation to Czech (often very funny). :D

Basically, the internal TC-Command (for "Computer"): "cm_OpenDrives" could do the trick.

Another user suggested not to use a cable but WLAN instead; in conjunction with sftpplugin for TC, or Total Commander for Android, or "berserker.android.apps.sshdroid" - the links/pictures are somehow self-declaring.

New: Windows Media Audio v2 (MTP, PlaysForSure) plugin
Ghisler(Author) made a MediaAudio-Plugin which is mainly meant for MP3 players which show up in Windows Media Player. (So WMP must be installed).
