@nyam:
The standalone Imagine.exe causes several problems when assigning extensions:
1. Please don't change machine wide extension settings, for example in HKCR\.jpg. The user customized keys are sufficient. Imagine is "just" a viewer – no offense here – not some very important system application that is meant to be used by everyone on a machine.
2. Don't modify the entries "PerceivedType" please. You are replacing correct pointers to HKCR\SystemFileAssociations\image with nonsense data "Imagine.JPG" that leads nowhere.
@nyam
Imagine v0.9.7.0b13 runs without issues here, too.
Though i found one little bug:
Since this version the messages 50001="No more files in directory.\n\nJump to the first file?" and 50002="No more files in directory.\n\nJump to the last file?" are always printed in english, not taking the translation into account. All other strings are shown translated as usual.
EDIT: Excuse me, false alarm. An unclosed message line in the translation file caused the bug. Fixed.

Thanks petermad, confirmed. I was already checking against the previous version and found my translation files from that version to work flawless with beta 13, so i added back one by one of my recent updates to find the inconsistency. One string was missing a stupid little closing " sign. Dohh!
• The French languages files for the ß13 are available HERE.
- Thanks to Paul Vansumsen who helps a lot here !
• Just a wish : Please, could you show the new strings as comments ?
- It's a pain in the neck to compare the whole files at each new version…

Windows 9x doesn't support user-specific extension settings.
(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts)
But I'll change the code to write the machine wide extension only when the system is Windows 9x.
