True, true, and f3 is often used, but try using lister with some 100 files, looking for an particulair file. :D

IMHO viewing an small thumbnail is so much more easyer.

Your view is exactly what i need. but i still see the html code.

I have even removed some plugins to see if those are the cause, but no.

These are the thumbnails-options; all are checked.

x Get from Lister plugins for: *.*
x Use Explorer method (OLE2) for: *.*
x Get from Irfan-/XNview for: *.*
x Plain text file thumbnails for: *.txt *.ini *.htm *.html

I also have no thumbnails in both TC and Explorer - you must have some universal html thumbnail viewer installed as an extension to the Explorer method. Or ??
License #524 (1994)
Danish Total Commander Translator
TC 11.03 32+64bit on Win XP 32bit & Win 7, 8.1 & 10 (22H2) 64bit, 'Everything' 1.5.0.1371a
TC 3.50 on Android 6 & 13
Try: TC Extended Menus | TC Languagebar | TC Dark Help | PHSM-Calendar

Well, had the same problem with W2k.

Changed the settings to
x Use Explorer method (OLE 2) for: *.htm *.html
and everything is okay now. Html files are now shown as thumbnails.

Good, but does the htm file show text as an textfile?; in my case the html thumb shows:

<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>TITLE</TITLE>
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">
</HEAD>
<BODY scroll=no>
<h3>TITLE</h3>

If the settings are correct the html thumbs should show like an previous posting of ts4242; (look out for: see this). Thats what were looking for.

BTW: just usede youre option:
x Use Explorer method (OLE 2) for: *.htm *.html
it didnt made any differents in the htm files, but causes other files to show there icon.

My system is WinME and i use IE 5.5,
I cannot remember that i installed any html thumbnail viewer.

anyway search for thumbvw.dll in your system folder, if it is not there, try to restore it from windows installation CD
