[BUG] copying hidden files from FTP

Post by *ado »

I am using FTP a lot and I am really courious, why i found this just recently and not a long time ago ;-)...
Left: local drive
Right: FTP drive
1. let's have on right side dir aaa with file .bindings inside ...i.e. file is normally invisible, since it begins with '.'
2. set hidden files on Net->FTP Show hidden files, so file is visible
3. Copy .bindings to left - just F5;ENTER -> this is ok and it works....
4. Go one dir up on right side
5. Copy dir aaa to left - just F5;ENTER -> empty dir is coppied :-(

I also cannot confirm this. Seems to be indeed a server problem.

Hello,

I think ado found same behaviour as I faound some time ago.

The files starting with dots (hidden files ) are only copied if 'download in background (separate thread)' is deactivated or switched off.

If one uses this option they where'nd copied in subdirectories...

This behaviour of Total Commander exists as I remeber for a long time. Think in all Versions 6.x.

May be it is time to fix it as version 7 has same bug.

bye
