mutli-rename tool black bar bug.

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Hm, never noticed a thing like that. Could you please post a screenshot and specify your OS and what theme (if any) you use?

but that black bar dissapere when i use alt tab, or scrool up and down by holding scrollbar, not buttons.

I am using windows xp with default style.

this black bar happens only when the list is so large, that has to use vertikal scrollbar. And then scroll down to the end.

Hm, strange. I actually have no idea what could be the reason. Is 'thumbs.db' in your screenshot the last file in the list and the black bar is painted below it, or does does this black bar cover the actual last file in the list?

A _very_ vague assumption: Is it possible that you have customized some windows system-color to black? Maybe TC uses another system color here that is equal to the window background color by default...

It must be some system setting of yours - do you have "Smooh-scroll list boxes" enabled in your Windows setup?

:) Hello !

Config. Panel >> Display >> Appearance >> Effects, or so (here it's in French…).

- This is something I disable always, because it's totally exasperating !

I have fade effect selected, not scroll efect. I don't want to change it, if i change it or disable, this bug doesn't show.

I didn't touch anything, or use program that costumizez appearence, icons or a tweeker.

In System properties:

1. run sysdm.cpl from the command line.
2. click the Advanced tab.
3. click the Settings button in the Performance section.
4. remove the checkmark next to "Smoth-scroll list boxes"

I cannot reproduce this error here.

Try this: Right click on the desktop and choose "Properties". Change the theme to "Windows Classic" and click "Apply". Then change the theme backto what you had before, and click "Apply" again.

Is the drawing bug gone now?

Sorry for the late post.
In System properties:

1. run sysdm.cpl from the command line.
2. click the Advanced tab.
3. click the Settings button in the Performance section.
4. remove the checkmark next to "Smoth-scroll list boxes"
If i do that, then a bug doesn't show.

Thanks, I will test with these "Smoth-scroll list boxes". It's one of the first things I turn off on Windows systems...
