Spacebar doesn't calc folder size

Post by *pwright2 »

I'm running 7.01 under Vista Home Premium. Tapping the spacebar does not calc folder size. The configuration option to calc size when selected by space is selected. Tapping spacebar does not seem to select however. More like it de-selects.

Any idea of a cause/cure? All the other dir-size commands seem to work.

Perhaps the folders already were selected :?:

If you select (with Space) folders that already were selected with Insert or Shift-Ap/Down then you de-select them without any calc size.
Probablemente no

No, that's not it. Interesting thought, though.

You may not have the necessary rights to open these folders. If you have to choose "As administrator" to enter them, then you cannot calculate their space with the space bar.

Like most windows users, I am running as admin. And I have turned off most of the Vista security controls, simply because they were driving me crazy.

I'm reasonably certain that the spacebar size calculate worked not too long ago. Just wondered if there were something about 7.0/7.01.

However, never mind. It seems to be working this morning.

I love computers.

You can could try the content plug-in DirSizeCalc which can be used to display the file size for example in a custom column:

http://www.lefteous.de/tc/dirsizecalc_eng.htm

Try the field dirsizecalc.Size (on demand). After configuring the custom column the space key can be used to display the size. Maybe it works - just try it.

pwright2,
Or try with a fresh INI.
totalcmd.exe /i=.\fresh.ini

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
