Recovery-Data problem - Help pls

Post by *naklar »

hi all!

a friend had a system crash, which had to be solved by installing
a new OS. i got his data back with "GetDataBack".
important for him were his MP3 files.

which leads to the problem:
a main dir was made by "GetDataBack" called "backup files"
inside this are alot of orphan dirs called "orphan 0001-000n".
in one of them nearly all album dirs were created
with the usual name like "artist - album"

but the MP3s are spread all over the orphan dirs
i want to do the following:
i am looking for a programm/plug-in, that scans all the MP3s and
reads their names and TAGS. then it should put them into a dir,
that has the same artist/album/file name.

MP3s without a TAG and name should be put in a separate dir.

any hints? maybe this can help?

TIA

Look at www.totalcmd.net for

- "Wdxinfopacker" and "Expander" (very powerfull, but it takes a little time to understand)

or

- Expander (less powerfull, easier to understand)

Maybe this can help you.

hi all!

i tried
http://www.saydoo.net/mp3cmd/

it wasn't the solution i was looking for, as it put the tags
in categories again und the files could not be shown all at once.

BUT it showed me what i was really looking for:
is there a plug-in that just shows the MP3-Tag in the regular
TC windows like that?
filename-size-date-attr.-genre-label-artist etc.
so that you could just sort them by clicking on a category?
i could live with putting the results into the right dirs manually...

TIA

how do i activate/use it after installing this?

EDIT

I cant figure out how to activate these content plugins

i installed different plugins like
id3 and mp3info, example...

then i configured custom columns
but could not connect the plugin to the custom column
also the plugin is not listed in the custom column menu
see
