I recently tried to print a file list with subdirectories from my c:\windows folder with total commander 7.5b8
In the print-preview window, I read that it would take 3900 pages.
To reduce the amount of pages, I selected the duplex-option, but the pagecount did not change.
But when I select another font-size (10pt instead of 12pt) the amount of required pages reduces from 3900 to 3090 pages.
So I guess, that the calculation-routine is not called when checking or unchecking that option.
BTW: I did this procedure only for fun. I'm not crazy enough to print 3900 pages with directory and file information for real
(Just for the record: This listing results in a 7MB PDF-File )

What is wrong with that?DennisMoore wrote:I recently tried to print a file list with subdirectories from my c:\windows folder with total commander 7.5b8

1950 front side pages + 1950 back side pages = 3900 pages.
BTW: has a PDF document a back side?

I guess you mixed up "pages" and "sheets" !In the print-preview window, I read that it would take 3900 pages.
To reduce the amount of pages, I selected the duplex-option, but the pagecount did not change.
The amount of pages will not change, even if you put 8 pages on 1 sheet, it will still be 3900 pages.
Just create a document with a page count in the footer (e.g. page 1 of 3900).
The last page will show "page 3900 of 3900", no matter how many pages are printed on a single sheet of paper.

Yes, what sqa_wizard writes is correct. When you check
the duplex option, TC will first print all the odd pages, then ask the user to re-insert the printed pages (reversed, of course), and then print the even pages.
