Quickfilter not resettable after Reread in virtual folder

Post by *StatusQuo »

TC 7.50 RC1, XP SP3:
In virtual folders Quickfilter can't be reset by cm_RereadSource.
After trying this, also ESC key fails (until using Ctrl+S).

To reproduce:
  • cm_OpenDesktop to open the desktop (or navigate to control panel)
  • if not already active, enable Quickfilter instead of Quicksearch with Ctrl+S
  • enter at least one (matching) character, then close the dialog with ESC
  • try cm_RereadSource command (Ctrl+R) to leave Quickfilter => nothing happens
  • try ESC key => nothing happens (only after above step)
Quickfilter can only be reset/disabled via Ctrl+S then.
Who the hell is General Failure, and why is he reading my disk?

Confirmed!

Also noticed that it is not possible to use custom filters (Ctrl+F12) in \\desktop or any other virtual folder.

I can confirm the fix for both issues in TC 7.5 rc2. (esc & refresh)

Fixed in TC 7.50 rc2. :)

I still get this one: using Ctrl+F12 to view e.g. "m*.*" still shows all entries (unfiltered) in virtual folders.

Confirmed, that this is not yet fixed.
