| The sftp4tc is based on Putty and therefor supports pagent automatic key delivery. I prefer it for this reason but the other plugin works fine for me to. |

Hello, KucingLapar.
A similar question has been asked and answered inside the 33-pages-mega monster thread about Christian's SFTP plugin on page 32.
Horst.Epp is right the Berlios plugin is based on Putty and the current versions use the Putty configuration dialogue design.
Christian's plugin is based on libcurl.
Personally I like Christian's plugin better for 3 main reasons:
+ to flatter him of course
+ I do not really like the Putty dialogue design
+ Putty is great, but dead slow. The old sftp4tc plugin was dead slow, too. Not sure about the latest versions.
Kind regards,
Karl |

Btw, with TC 7.50, my plugin now works with Total Commander's internal password manager. You can even store your private key pass phrase this way, so you have some alternative to Pageant. Unfortunately the format supplied by Pageant is incompatible with OpenSSH, so I cannot use it. _________________ Author of Total Commander

| Thanks for replying ghisler. I am using your sftpp plugin for now, it works great so far but the only grief I have over it is it tends to freeze up the whole tc when it tries to reupload files that I finish editing. |

Which transfer method do you use, SFTP or SCP? The latter currently only works in blocking mode due to a bug in the OpenSSH library. SFTP uploads are unfortunately quite a bit slower than SCP, but work OK with non-blocking sockets... _________________ Author of Total Commander

at the home_page:plugins the link is for the external berlios addon.

| Indeed, beta 0.97 is the latest version by Christian, but it is not from 2007 (see the last edited line at the bottom of the first post "Last edited by ghisler(Author) on Wed Mar 24, 2010 23:01; edited 14 times in total") |

I'm trying to use Ghislers plugin, but the latest version of the libcurl zip does not contain a dll called libssh2.dll
What is the best course of action to get it working? |

Is it possible that instead of correct: | Quote: | | Win32 2000/XP 7.20.1 libcurl SSL enabled Günter Knauf 2.84 MB |
you downloaded: | Quote: | | Win32 2000/XP 7.20.1 binary SSL enabled Günter Knauf 1.26 MB |
? |
