Getting "Not responding" from Windows 7/64bit

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Getting "Not responding" from Windows 7/64bit

Post by *huseyina »

Hi,

I was using Windows XP before but lately i have installed Windows 7 Ult. 64bit and Eset Smart Security v4x. Often when i use Total Commander, like opening textfiles, or copying it kind of hangs.

Does anyone have a clue what it can be?

Are you planning to release a 64bit version of Total Commander?

Thanks in advance,

I don't think that it has to do anything with 64bit - how long did you wait, and how big was the file? Some scanners can take an awful lot of time to scan large files.

Hi,

It was sometimes while copying files, sometimes while listing directory contents, and it usually waits for seconds. I have now uninstalled Eset and instead installed Comodo security suite. I will update when i have new info.

Thank you.
