False Positive of new TC 7.56 in Virus Total site?

Post by *sfdude »

Hi all,

Registered User here.
Just D/L the latest version (TC 7.56),
directly from Ghisler's site.

Scanned file: tcmd756.exe
via the VT -Virus Total web site,
at:
http://virustotal.com/

All reported: "EXE clean",
except for one:
eSafe 7.0.17.0 2010.12.02 Virus in password protected archive

Here's the link to the Virus Total report I ran,
(or you can run your own VT scan):
http://goo.gl/tT26v

False Positive probably, but just checking with this great community...
Anyone seeing this?

The error means that the tool couldn't unpack the installer because it thought that it was password protected - which it is NOT. Just rename the installer to tcmd756.zip, and you can unpack it without any password...

Btw, if anyone here is using eSafe, it would be nice if you could submit the installer as a false positive to them.
