[8.0RC2 64bit] System Information username bug

Post by *sztihamer »

Just found another bug in the 64bit version of Total Commander. If you have a Windows username that has accented characters then if will not show up properly in the System Information window properly. For instance my username is my name and this is what happens. If finds an accented character it will shorten it and will refuse to display the last part. The "Microsoft network or compatible" label is also missing from the 64bit version.

Here are some screenshots to further illustrate what is going on.

Also the 64bit version has the Total Commander icon in the titlebar while the 32bit one does not. That can be changed easily in the Form Properties in Lazarus I guess.
Edit: This last thing it's not a big deal, because the same situation is happening with the Set volume label dialogbox too, and nearly all other windows in the Lazarus port!

Confirmed, but only with English language. Using German language in TC x64 shows the label correctly. TC 32 Bit always shows the label.

Even more:
1. Networks' names are some upper than main text line. (only x64)
2. Second "text-field" in x64 is some upper than in x32.

Confirm the bug with the user name but in a different way: the accented character is replaced by a question mark, see this picture (the username should be "ègal").

EDIT: Typo

I will check it, but I can't promise anything - it's not that important.

Now the System information displays the accented characters, but the "Microsoft network or compatible" label is still missing. Not a big deal, it's just a tiny little issue.

I think that I removed that because it's all about Windows network anyway - the 32-bit version also supported some info about Netware networks.
