?Search result and Ctrl-\ and Backspace hotkeys

Post by *SailorMax »

Steps:
1. search something in any directory (X)
2. Feed result to listbox
3. Press Ctrl-\ or Backspace

Expected as in 8.x: Open directory X

Actual: Change view mode on "Brief"

TC will return to brief mode from search results if you were in brief mode before searching.

Btw, you can now press Ctrl+B to jump from search result directly to file under cursor in its directory. This was added because it works like this in branch view too!

Actually this was _changed_, not added.
Can you leave previous hot keys? Backspace, for example, everywhere work as "Go back", but now it doesn't work in result listbox.

Backspace still works fine here to leave search, both in 32-bit and 64-bit TC...

The default View mode is Brief.
May be you have set some "Auto Switch Mode"
If you change to an dir outside of its scope its changing to the default mode.

The default View mode is Brief.
The default mode for Search Result list is something between "Brief" and "Full" - Toolbar highlight "Full" button, but list has only file names.

I don't use Auto Switch Mode.

Sorry but I cannot reproduce your problem, it must be your settings. Could you send me your wincmd.ini to support at ghisler dot com with a short description of the problem, please?

Not if you don't have any folder-tabs active!

@petermad - this is probably the same bug (I've included an animation) http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=44293

It definitely looks like the same - as I also provided a screenshot of here: http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=309599#309599

And the culprit to see it, is to NOT have any foldertabs active (It seems that most people here always have foldertabs showing, hence no one confirmed the bug until now)

So we now have three independent reports - I'm sure it will be solved (strange things is that it doesn't happen on 64bit here)

I managed to reproduce it with a fresh ini. Can you try it with beta 2 please? It should work again now.
