Copy files from search result list recursively

Post by *ccengine »

Hi All,

When you have searched for files with TC and have fed them to the Listbox ("Feed to listbox"), is it possible to copy selected items from this list to another location keeping their directory location?

Example:

Result list:
C:\install\disk1\file1.exe
C:\install\disk2\file1.exe

I want to copy them to
D:\temp\install\disk1\file1.exe and
D:\temp\install\disk2\file2.exe

Does anybody know?

Thans in advance! 8)

Using the Treecopy plugin. Search for "Treecopy".

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Christian, if you read this: will this ever be implemented natively in TC? The reason I'm asking this is, that I would like to have native TC copy for this functionality (with all file copy mode etc).
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

It is indeed on my wish list, but not very hight because there is an existing workaround with treecopy.

Please rethink (increase) priority of this feature :) Since treecopy is inconveniently and poorly functional!

1) It's work only from search result and branch view :( It's very inconveniently :(

2) Missing option like "number of upper levels to exclude". In example above:
C:\install\disk1\file1.exe
C:\install\disk2\file1.exe

I want to copy them to
D:\temp\install\disk1\file1.exe and
D:\temp\install\disk2\file2.exe
With treecopy he will obtain next:
D:\temp\c\install\disk1\file1.exe and
D:\temp\c\install\disk2\file2.exe
:( But if we have option "number of upper levels to exclude" = 1 then we shall obtain exactly what we need:
D:\temp\install\disk1\file1.exe and
D:\temp\install\disk2\file2.exe

3) It's packer plagin :( ...

4) You can copy a directory only from search result!

Ok, I am tired of waiting ;) And wrote a new plugin for it - TreeCopyPlus, so only 1 disadvantage from list above remains - 3) It's packer plagin :)
