How to delete duplicates files after search ?

Post by *saip »

Hi, I have many pictures in folders and I want to remove same files, so I used function Search>Advanced>Find duplicate files. Great function, it finds about 2500 duplicates files - BUT how to delete all duplicates at once (for example: delete all other same files except the first original, wherever it may be) ??
Thanks, the way to mark each file is a bit impossible in this count ;-)

You can try clonespy for this purpose.

It would be nice to have a option like "select duplicate files" that's only available after a search. This way it's really easy to delete all duplicates and keep only unique files.

I think it's rather pointless to have an option "search for duplicate files" without the option to select the duplicates automatically.

Please search for "duplicate select"
Example topic found: [REQ] Find duplicate files. Select first files

The basic problem: how would you decide, which ones of the duplicates should be automatically selected for deletion...
