Usher wrote: 2023-02-17, 17:43 UTC Well, "nonexistingtxt" is now existing in this very topic.
Correct, it should be replaced with a random text not currently used in the forum.
Usher wrote: 2023-02-17, 17:43 UTC You should try with "non existing" written without spaces. It exists, but search doesn't find it when added after "search ignored".
That is correct behavior for "Search for all terms" because the combination of terms is not present in any post. The issue is with a search term that results in 0 results on its own.

ghisler(Author) wrote: 2023-02-17, 17:29 UTC I have updated the forum to 3.3.10 now, and it doesn't seem to ignore nonexistingtxt now!

Do you get the same results when logged in?
The issue is the same, but to test it you need to replace nonexistingtxt with some random text not currently used on the forum.

I have checked the admin settings, but couldn't find anything regarding non-existing words. Maybe it's this option:
Used backend
This is currently set to phpBB Native Fulltext.
Other alternatives are
PostgrSQL Fulltext
Sphinx Fulltext
MySQL Fulltext

Regarding the Wiki there are good news: I have updated to MediaWiki 1.39.2 today, and now I'm getting again language links in the left menu when I set the following in LocalSettings.php:

Code: Select all

$wgVectorLanguageInHeader = [
	'logged_in' => false,
	'logged_out' => false,
];

$wgVectorLanguageInMainPageHeader = [
	'logged_in' => false,
	'logged_out' => false,
];
Settings one of these to true still causes the error, no top language links but a warning in the side menu. Since there is only one other language, keeping the links in the side menu seems a better choice.

Thanks for updating to phpBB 3.3.11.

Are you aware that there are some problems with this version and that version 3.3.12 is in the making?
One issue is that the stylesheet.css hash values has not been updated. Correct values (source):
@import url("normalize.css?hash=48eb3f89");
@import url("base.css?hash=7c5543be");
@import url("utilities.css?hash=d8f72c42");
@import url("common.css?hash=a9741ba1");
@import url("links.css?hash=18286e16");
@import url("content.css?hash=38d7ca0d");
@import url("buttons.css?hash=56f0d25f");
@import url("cp.css?hash=50d868ab");
@import url("forms.css?hash=9016b55c");
@import url("icons.css?hash=64da33ce");
@import url("colours.css?hash=fcb2f289");
@import url("responsive.css?hash=91525545");

No, I didn't notice any problems, so I didn't post here (same as for 3.3.10).
What problems did you encounter?

Anyway, I have made the change to stylesheet.css now and cleared the cache.

I did not encounter problems but I read about it on the phpBB forum as soon as the new version came out.
I don't think there are major issues. As long as nothing serious happens, I think you don't need to take further action at this moment.

I can confirm that stylesheet.css has been changed OK.

I vaguely remember something about this written before (something about some malware or spam), but cannot find it now.

I was going to submit a post with this text copied from history.txt in it:
history.txt wrote:Ctrl+Q quick view...
but I get an error when submitting the message saying:
Your message contains the following unsupported characters:
Q q
If I put two spaces between Q and q I can submit, but not with one space between.

Perhaps Mr. Ghisler can reconsider if this measure is still necessary.

I recently had the same problem when trying to post a link with a double Q. I had to use a shortened link with a redirect.
