Part of the GUI object border is missing

Post by *AntonyD »

https://ibb.co/Fqh0hTT
Actually, I pointed out this part with the "red mouse". Moreover, it clearly depends on the length of the checkmark's label above.

This screen was taken from the path: Configuration - Options - Custom columns. And here I've made one set for ADB FS-plugin.

NB! I still did not get in - in which circumstances the text label "Switch to this view when using this plugin" is appearing on the dialog's form.
Mostly I DO NOT see it. But somehow for ADB i could get it.

It appears for File system plugins that supports automatic custom columns. Here I use these plugins that supports that:
Phonebook
Registry
Startups
Services
Environment Variables
Uninstaller

Not confirmed on Windows 11. I will try to move the buttons 1 pixel down, and make the bottom panel a bit higher.

It must be depending in the screen DPI (scaling factor). What do you use?
Right click on the desktop - Display settings to see it, e.g. 100%

That's odd, I'm using 100% too, no overlap. Well, we will see when RC1 comes out (very soon).

TC11.02 RC1
Light mode - all is fine.
for 32 & 64 bit.

Dark mode: 32 bit all is fine.
64 bit: Eng
https://ibb.co/2SJCYK0
Rus:
https://ibb.co/cwR6gPG
as you see - now the disappearance of part of the object boundary has shifted a little bit.
And as we can see, the length of the translated text does not affect WHERE exactly a part
of the outer border of the buttons will be cut. The cut runs along the entire length of the
checkbox's Label object, apparently.
For comparison, this is how it was in Dark Mode in the previous version:
https://ibb.co/vsk9bsJ
In other words, the situation has improved, but not completely!
So I mean that we still have to shift for 2 px probably down more the buttons row.

Your screenshots make no sense, the buttons all have the same top position, so they should either all be overlapped, or none at all.
But I found the difference between 32-bit and 64-bit: In the 32-bit version, the checkboxes have a height of 17 pixels at 100%, and those in 64-bit have a height of 19 pixels. I will make thew smaller too.

Your screenshots make no sense
Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the meaning. But I can confirm
that they are made from a really launched Total. That's right.

P.S.
Although I can add a little bit of sense. You do not take into account the fact
that this dialogue can be resized! Try expanding it to the right, for example)))
And you will see partial overlap!

Yes it can, but only the x coordinate of the buttons is changed when resizing the dialog, not the y coordinate (I checked this in the code).

And what does this clarification change? Reproducibility of the error? Well, I can reproduce it.
And shown the results of it in a pics above....
And if you fix the default size for the checkbox with its label, it is quite likely that the
remaining problem inside the Dark mode will be resolved in the next release ;)

I was thinking the same thing, until I realized why it's the way it is: The OK button is the default button and thus it has double the border compared to the other buttons. Furthermore, one pixel of this double border is overlapped at its top. The other buttons have a regular border, so it's overlapped fully at the top. That's why it looks like the OK button still has a border while the others do not.

I suggest to make the lower area a few pixels higher so there's enough space for the checkbox to not overlap the buttons.
