But here the icons/overlays are simply enlarged, showing that the button is essentially a menu. And it's just super great!
Now this fact can be seen for real - without eye strain! Do you want to give them back their micro sizes?

Change the "Size" field in Configuration - Button bar (upper right corner) to 23 or smaller to get the smaller overlay icon size. I changed the limit from 25 to 24 where you get the larger overlay.

Personally I feel the new overlay too large and too black. Like an iron lock or prying eye there. The original size is much less intrusive.

Sorry, I can't make it right for everyone. Either it's too small or it's too big.

Maybe a wincmd.ini parameter for the [Buttonbar] and [ButtonbarVertical] sections: OverlaySize= where 0 is auto, 1 is the smallest and 3 is the biggest.

This doesn't take into account when the user has multiple screens with different DPI.

Then the user must choose the 0 value, which is how it is now.

You can also turn off these overlays alltogether:
wincmd.ini
[Buttonbar]
PopupOverlay=0

You can also turn off these overlays alltogether:
Sure - but I don't want them off, on the contrary, I want to be able to make them bigger (without having to use bigger buttons).

Is it possible to use PopupOverlay=1 for the original size, and PopupOverlay=2 for the current design?

That would be rather useless, the only difference would be at a size of 24. I will change it back to how it was in 11.01 for now, and will be looking for a better solution in 11.03 or later.

On my computer, the dropdown overlay after the update is still as large as in RC5. Do I have to refresh anything? (The icon size is 54 on a 200% zooming monitor.)
