ClubTotal is not there when it's needed... ;)

I have repacked and uploaded it here:
http://rapidshare.de/files/7714852/wcmzip32.dll.zip.html

Press button "Free" and wait for download link to appear.

Thanks guys - overwriting the specific dll did work. It would be best to have it by default in TC.

:) Hello !

- Like Lefteous points out above, the Swiss laws forbid any encryption export, even a simple password feature…
 Stupid, isn't it ?

- The alternative DLL is available from my site too under this paragraph.

 Kind regards,
Claude

v 654a?

Post by *davekurz »

The new version 654a has a much larger wcmzip32.dll file than the modified one for v 5.0.

This makes me reluctant to overwrite the new dll.

Any ideas?

Would really like to be able to use passwords with Zip in TCMdr

Simply do NOT overwrite the old wcmzip32.dll.

Due to swiss export restrictions, encryption (incl. passwords at zip) are not allowed.

Therefore you still have to use the old modified one ...

Yes, I've read about the legalities. I'm still puzzled about your instruction sqa. The old modified one *what*?

Do you mean that I should re-install v 5.0, say (into another directory, I presume) and use that for encrypting and decrypting Zipfiles?

I could do that, and had thought of it. But it seems at least a little clumsy. Right now I'm installing and getting acquainted with AES Encryptor. That will work, of course, except for old Zipfiles.

Thanks for your very prompt reply.

Re-install 5.0 (or any other TC version) won't help. All base versions are not capable to handle passwords.

You have to download the crypto version by one of the links mentioned above and replace the original one.

I have set the read-only flag of mine to prevent it from overwriting by each new TC install !

OK sqa, finally I understand.
And 654a appears to work fine with the earlier wcmzip32.dll.

I haven't compared the files to see what differences there are, and may not take the time to do that.

And thanks for the suggestion about setting the r attribute.

I have zip problem with all zip archs downloaded from www.miranda-im.org.

When I use unpack I got all files in the root of the folder no matter if subfolders are there. Can anybody tell me why ? WinRar does them normally.

I tried various files from that site - I have no problem with unpacking subdirs into subdirs.
