[REQ] Option to copy ignored files

[REQ] Option to copy ignored files
In response of the first two answers I edited my Post:
1. Put a filename on the ignore list
2. Put a file with this ignored filename into a folder
3. Enable the ignore list
4. copy the folder
the file on the ignore list will not be copied.
Expected behavior: When I copy a whole folder all files should be copied (packed), regardless they are on the ignore list or not.
An Option either on the ignore list config page and/or the copy/pack/move dialog would be fine for me.

I'd like an option to include ignored files in copy/move/pack process.

I would rather ask for including ignored files to be default, and then having an option to exclude ignored files in stead.I'd like an option to include ignored files in copy/move/pack process.
This would also be consistant with the behaviour when it is chosen not to show hidden/system files - they are still copied anyway (in subdirs).

Simply because ignore setting can be regarded as a cosmetical feature for display purposes only. Well, I do at least.I guess you confound ignore and hide. I you ask to TC to ignore a file, why it should be copied/moved/packed ? (I asked to TC to ignore Thumbs.db and don't want them at all)

I would expect TC to offer checkboxes in all relevant dialogs, copy, upload, etc...:
[ ] also copy hidden directories / files
[ ] also copy ignored directories / files
This would also solve the security problem when uploading to FTP. Some people expect hidden files to be uploaded, some people don't. Some people prefer ignored files to be uploaded, some people don't.
So, the only choice is to make it optional. There is no "this is right, this is wrong" here.

Actually the idea of the ignore list was born from the wish to hide files and folders you would not like to see.
And it was initially called 'blacklist'. So petermad did not confound the terms but applys to the history.
I just don't want to see the "Recycled" or the "System Volume Information" or Pagefile.sys or boot.ini and some other files in my everyday work.
But I surely want to have all those files included in my file operations.
And I agree with petermad, that this a default include would fit the current handling of hidden and system files.

Once again a nice idea.icfu wrote:I would expect TC to offer checkboxes in all relevant dialogs, copy, upload, etc...:

Hm, isn't a Custom view (Ctrl-F12) more suitable for that?I just don't want to see the "Recycled" or the "System Volume Information" or Pagefile.sys or boot.ini and some other files in my everyday work.
