ID3tag editing via columns/plugins?

Post by *Ronny Pries »

Hi guys,

i'm currently trying to gather information on custom columns and related plugins for editing/removing id3tags. I couldn't find much useful info on this by searching, sorry if this issue has been answered xxx times already!

So far i found lots of plugins to display ID3tags, i could customize the columns for mp3s etc but yet couldn't figure out if there's a way to edit the tags inside the custom columns. Not sure if i'm using the wrong plugins or if it's possible at all.

Shedding some light into this would be highly appreciated! Yep.

Cheers,
Ronny

Because editing custom values was newly introduced with TC7, there are no plugins available yet to write ID3 tags.

I'm eagerly waiting too, maybe my favourite MP3 tagger (still the ol' but perfect ID3Master) will get obsolete when a decent ID3-plugin with editing capabilities will be available.

Currently the only plugin that can edit values is TC's built-in plugin (e.g. for editing file comments), if you like to play around with the general possibilities...

There is already a plugin with write support:
