That's an excellent flash of insight, majki! I hereby dub thee Sir Two-Brains Majkinator and take off my hat to you (but I'll keep my lederhosen on if you don't mindplugin that will wrap Lua scripting language so people can write tc plugins using Lua.

If the Lua interpreter (not clunky 'n chunky VB Script) could somehow be embedded as you suggest, a powerful new world of really neat syntax, custom functions and data structures becomes available to any plugin writer. No artificial constraints, no need for AHK assistance, small and super-portable in pure C. It even supports co-routines - multi-thread plugins here we come! That's good enough to make TC the mother of all file managers. I notice that even Opera had an ad-blocker written in Lua prior to 9.0.
Please don't feel under any pressure to produce this in a hurry - next week will do just fine.

Do you refer to script Content Plugin 0.1.0.1 and / or scriptWFX 1.1?majkinetor ! wrote:Ah, I forgot this is already done in WCSScripter plugin but with VBScript [...] Did anybody use this plugin and have positive feedback on it ?
I use Lev Freidin's script content plugin too, and I like it

You can find some VB-scripts for this plugin in this forum, for instance:
Bildgröße_jpgtif.vbs
Check_Foldersize.vbs
Check_doc_X_pdf.vbs
Check_Kopie.vbs
DriveInfo.vbs
Dateialter.vbs
DirSize_NonRecursive.vbs
and so on...
Unfortunately most of the above URLs will lead you to threads in the german board... sorry

I would really like to learn this language and to embed it in some software. Too bad I have regular job to do.... maybe I should quit but TC community will have to donate for following things: 2xCat support (and growing), 2xComputer support with proffesional sound and graphical support, 2 juices per day, 1 WoW subscription (to get new ides you must relax), 3 meal's per day, 1xcable internet. Please don't feel under any pressure to produce this in a hurry - next week will do just fine.

Habemus majkam!
Heh, heh, heh. Nice try but it's not going to work. We know you'll use the windfall to buy: 1 extra cat, 2 NVidia GeForce 8800 GTX SLI-linked, 1 Dell 30-inch LCD monitor, a lifetime WoW sub, a dual Raptor RAID array, and a T1 broadband connection. Then we won't see you for dust as you disappear into cyberspace shouting "So long, suckers!"PS: please somebody pay for the bitch! please

Not even you!?majkinetor ! wrote: Nobody is born with the knowledge

Just a matter of time.If you wont to learn, I will help you![]()
But I fear I have too less time to learn a programming language.

Ghisler will implent a unified command system, before I'll release a plugin, I guess.

Thanks for your offer.

That's what he lives for. After all, your avatar always cheers me up

Interesting.2 ALex
Interesting thing. I was able to add locatte window directly to the TC as a child. I tried that also with Viewer latter and it worked OK. So, Viewer was part of TC and moving the TC was moving the viewer. The strange thing is that WM_COPYDATA mechanism didn't work from that point.
But I cannot help here, I don't understand how things work here with childish windows etc.

What about IYF:
http://www.indexyourfiles.com/
it has free version, fast, and it has text index files - no problems to write a plugin for it too.
