FTP - Access violation

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

FTP - Access violation

I got the previous error message. The following describes what I remember I did. I could not

1. connect to the FTP Server of my website
2. mark all folders and files
3. start download
4. wait...
5. somehow the FTP server did not send more data after a time so I continued with
6. clicked abort -> I could see it in the log, but nothing happened
7. clicked abort again
8. Message "reconnect" appears
9. clicked YES

after this, the access violation was displayed.

I clicked Ja (Yes) and there was no FTP connection left. So I tried to reconnect and it correctly connects, BUT the FTP content could not be displayed when I clicked on the button it switched back to C:\ without any further message. After a restart everything worked fine again.

But after I disconnected my WLAN device during submission and pressed abort TC totally freezes displaying "no response" ("Keine Rückmeldung") in the submission progress dialog. After about 5 Minutes I killed the process.

Clicking abort twice will KILL the ftp object, even if the Windows sockets functions hang in it. This can cause a crash when the function finally returns after x minutes...
