Sorry Icfu,
what do you mean by "selection cycle"?

ghisler has announced to also extend this feature to Alt-F5 maybe:29.07.05 Added: Pressing F5 again after F5-copy selects the file name only/name+ext (F6 also works, e.g. for F6 - F6)
[...]
06.07.04 Added: Pressing F6 (or Shift+F6) in the inplace rename field will select just the name/the name+ext

I see ... nice and useful feature. And I support your suggestion for including the extension into this cycle.

Damn, i always pressed cursor left and after that cursor right to get the cursor back to the position.
Never thought that pressing right first will just unselect the filename and cursor will stay in place.
That's why i thought that adding this in cycle will make it easier to press and faster to get.
Thanks for the tip.

Wow! So now I can press Shift+F6 for starting an inline rename and if I should ever forget the two-sigh-state-toggle-shortcut I just pressed, I can press Ctrl+A instead to escape the mess. This is really clever, Miss Marple!24.04.07 Added: Shift+F6 inplace rename: Ctrl+A selects entire name
Are there any separate shortcuts for marking the filename/the extension as well? This would definetely be much more useful than including the extension to the cycle. Why use an easy to remember toggle when you can press three different shortcuts instead, right?
Ah well, after reading the latest enhancements to TC I just remembered why I had so much fun proposing features for the bin here and got a little homesick. Sorry for being a party pooper and greetings from the dark side!

When you hit F10, the main menu gets activated. Please press F10 again to return the focus back to the rename edit box.
