[Wish]Define file icon by type
Probably not for 7.0...
I wish it to be something like extension for coloring files.
When I move my TC to another computer - file icons change. I often have no
icons for some file types (like .xls or .c) because there's no software that uses it installed.
So it could be nice to have an ability of customizing it.

You can customize the icons for any file type on the windows level. All you have to do is associate the type to some program, and change the icon for that type. To transfer those settings, export the corresponding registry keys. I wouldnt recomment this though, as you will overwrite some already existing associations.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!
Info & cosmetical…

Hello !
• I guess I got your needs, and I may say that I thought also to something in that painting a while ago…
- To get so, it needs only a set of special file-list icons coming always with your TC when it's used as mobile in any computer.
- Then, just an INI file (either a section in the main one, or a redirected INI…) coming with too.
Needs an option section too, of course, or a lot of INI entries to fill out by hand
- These icons might have some mark (or i.e. a certain BG-colour) to show they aren't associations ones,
but only cosmetical¦informative.
- Anyway, better than the white page we get currently for the non-associated types
• I support this wish, even if it's limited to some cases.

• It's the reason for which I guess that special marked icons are wanted,My opinion is, if Excel is not installed, xls files should not have an excel icon.

http://www.ghisler.ch/wiki/index.php/Defining_an_icon_based_on_a_userdefined_selection
I see it has been renamed but why there is nothing in the history
