What about supprting the backlash ( \ ) in the thumbnail configuration to exclude directories?

What do you think?

Use explorer method (OLE2) for: *.* | \

IMO it seem a good idea, but WmfAllowed=1 do it currently.

Well but this disables directory thumbnails completely not just for a certain thumbnail extractor.
