Recurse subdirectories

Post by *jmccrary »

Under "Change attributes" , if I check "Recurse subdirectories" not only are the subdirectory's timestamp and attributes changed but also all of the files in them. This is very misleading. Recursing subdirectories should not recurse their files.

As a german user I use the german language file. The german caption translated to english: "also files in subdirectories". The english caption seems to be misleading.

From help:
Recurse subdirectories
If directories are selected and you selected this option, the attributes of the files in these subdirectories will also be changed. Otherwise, only the attributes of the directories themselves are changed.
In Polish one is: "with subdirectories". :-)

jmccrary,
Recurse subdirectories means "do this in subdirectories, too". It meant this since there was an -r switch in ARJ.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
