TIP: Improve "Replace file dialog"

Post by *NuClear »

When I am copying file which already exists on target, so is displayed dialog:
REPLACE, SKIP, REPLACE ALL........

I need one item more:
"REPLACE FILES WITH DIFFERENT LENGHT"

---------

Because when I am copying file to FTP and conection break, so on target stay not complete file with smaller size than original.

I start copying again, but TC reports file already exists.
REPLACE, SKIP, REPLACE ALL........
But what should I do ?
When I will use "skip all" - so on targer will stay notcomplete file.
When I will use "replace all" - so all files will be copied again - it gets too much time.

So I need use "REPLACE FILES WITH DIFFERENT LENGHT"

Welcome!

When TC7s overwrite dialog pops up, you'll see a button'more options'. There you can chose to overwrite all smaller files.

Hello,
No, it isnt (it works only when I do it on local disks - no FTP).

I see only this dialog when copying from FTP:

OVERWRITTE - OVERWRITE ALL - SKIP
CANCEL - SKIP ALL - RENAME
RESUME - RESUME ALL

I have 7 Beta 3

Ah, sorry. You're right, I didn't read close enough.

Shouldn't "RESUME ALL" do exactly what you need? I.e. continue the transfer for the files which are smaller on the server?
