What exactly is the problem? As far as I understood the thread 32 bit icons are not displayed properly when the system color depth is < 32 bit which is not really a surprise...Did anyone else ever have this problem?

The problem was with true color icons with transparency - these worked in TC 7 beta 1 only when the button bar was created, but not when loaded from the cache. This made the button look flat (no shadow).
