Help with WaveView plugin

Post by *mduran »

Hello,

I have installed the WaveView plugin to visualize wave and pcm files with Lister, but I cannot make it work for some reason. I am using XP Pro SP2, and I need this plugin badly :-(

Any help please ?

Thanks,
m.

AFAIK that plugin is buggy and it stops working soon. There is some fix for that but I forgot, maybe someone can provide more feedback.

Did you either copy libSound.dll and AMM.dll to %COMMANDER_PATH% or put %COMMANDER_PATH%\Plugins\WLX\WaveView to your environment path?

Yes, I have copied both dlls to the TC root dir and afterwards to another system directory which is in my PATH. No luck.

Its the bug I tell you. Author documented it, I just am too lazy to find where.

I don't get the new version to work either. Did anyone succeed in making it work on XP Pro SP2 ? Please please...

No problem on two different PCs with WinXPSP2 and testsnd.wav (94kB).

No, that is the version I have here currently and it doesn't work.

That is, to be more precise, it worked for short period of time, like 2 or 3 lister calls, then it stoped.

I remember that some guy found the way, but I can't find or remember the solution.

BTW, plugin is awesome.

I also have no problems on WinXp Pro SP2. I've tried it with many files.
I only had to copy *.dll files to main Totalcmd folder.

ok, I have discovered that the plugin actually works ini my machine... but only with some wave files; typically most of the very short ones, although not all of them. So the conclusion is that it is quite buggy. Pity.

Does anyone know some other lister plugin that can do a similar thing ?
thx,
m.
