- Do you use ini file redirection? If yes tell me the related values please.
Yes I use redirection for most of the wincmd.ini sections. The setting are redirected within a subdir of the dir where wincmd.ini resides:

Code: Select all

[Packer]
RedirectSection=%COMMANDER_PATH%\Settings\redirected\Packer.ini
[PackerPlugins]
RedirectSection=%COMMANDER_PATH%\Settings\redirected\PackerPlugins.ini
- Please tell me the value of the LanguageIni setting in your Wincmd.ini?
LanguageIni=wcmd_ext1_eng.lng
- Where is your Wincmd.ini located and where is this information stored?
In registry I have
IniFileName=.\Settings\wincmd.ini
which translated to
%COMMANDER_PATH%\Settings\wincmd.ini

Other than that I just tested with a clean wincmd.ini and I get another error:

Code: Select all

---------------------------
Total Commander
---------------------------
Access violation at address 012B2CF0. Read of address 00000000.
Please report this error to the Author,
with a description of what you were doing when this error occured!
Continue execution?
---------------------------
Yes   No
---------------------------
TC for Linux please!

Just for your information. I will not release a bugfixed version 1.1x. I will release a new beta version which hopefully also fix the compatibility problems.

Hey Lefteous,

Just reviving an old post. As I was reporting a bug with UV I wanted to pack some files in sqx and I ran into a crash :( Seems crash day today :-S

Whether I try to pack or configure the plugin, I get the error:

Code: Select all

Access violation at address 01051D20. Read of address 00000000. Please report this error to the author, with a .........
Using TC 7b4 and Win XP SP2.

Need more info?

Just try if you can pack successfully with TC 6.5x. I cannot guarantee that Total SQX works properly in TC 7 beta.

Hi

Why not to share this code with Ghisler, so he can build
full featured SQX dll for TC?
Or maybe original sqx dll (is there one?) can be used.

I'm a bit confused about your post. I don't really understand the message behind your post. Why should I send the code of my plug-in to Ghisler? Are you talking about the SQX DLL or the plug-in DLL?

My message is a question:
why Ghisler doesn't use your code, or standard sqx code, to make built-in support for SQX format, in Total Commander?

Well the same question could be asked for all other packers, right?

Tried to pack a lot of files and folders with your plugin with setting "Create separate archives..." enabled and with 256 encryption of files and file listings. Well, it did compressing, but no encryption.
Why isn't this problem listed in the Bugs section in the readme? Can't believe I'm the first to notice that.

I just tested this and can partly confirm it. The last created archive seems to be encrypted while all others are not encrypted. Can you confirm this?

I my case the last archive isn't encrypted.

I packed a lot of files & dirs, I haven't tested all of the archives whether they are encrypted or not =) But every random archive is unsafe...
