Bug or By Design? cm_GoToFirstFile doesn't select file

Post by *robinsiebler »

If I execute cm_GoToFirstFile and then shift+click on a file a few files down, instead of only those files being selected all of the subdirs above are also selected.

However, if I manually select the 1st file either by using the mouse or the cursor keys and then click+shift only those files are selected.

Seems like a bug to me...

:) Hello !

• Confirmed, this seems to be a bug, right…

- You'll get even other stranger behaviours when using that command several times,
after unselect¦reselect some files in the list…
Note : I use the command from a button…

Thanks, It seems that cm_GoToFirstFile doesn't update the selection starting point.

I have a different manifestation of this bug.

If I use cm_GoToFirstFile and then shift+click another file , then that other file and a random number of the files after OR before the file is selected.

It's not random.
The selection starts at the point where the cursor was before issuing the cm_GoToFirstFile command.

But is that the desired behavior? From my point of view, it isn't.

Ahh, that's right! - and I guess that robinsiebler had his cursor placed at the first dir when invoking cm_GoToFirstFile - wheras I had it placed somewhat down the file list.

Indeed that's what I meant with "doesn't update the selection starting point". I have already fixed it for the next beta.
