Compare contents - strange mouse selection behaviour

Load the compare contents window by selecting two text files.
Left click and drag the mouse to select multiple lines of text in the window.
While the left mouse is down, right click to show the popup menu.
Click the "copy selection to clipboard" menu.
Now move the mouse up and down, => the lines in the window are automatically selected even when the left mouse button is not pressed!
