OT: Rar "synchronize archive contents"

Hi guys,
SFBOT, but since there is no forum on rarlab.com I thought you'd understand that I thought this would be the place to ask.
Anyways, the question is: why does "synchronize archive contents" work using the GUI (in Commands - Add files to archive - Update mode) but not when using the command line like "winrar.exe u -as test.rar *.*"?
(The difference is - in GUI it's fast, in command line it's slow.)

A little left...

GUI - It shows the Updating bla bla box without any progress bars moving, as if it would check the CRCs of the archived files with CRCs of the files I selected for updating.
Command line - there are progress bars as if the files in the archive would not be compared but simply overwriten.
