gswlx and pdfview cannot coexist?

Post by *st »

since i'm deciding which plugin to use, i'm using both pdfview and gswlx ( pdfview has higher priority). now gswlx always pops out complaining "plugin detect string error 1 at offset 102...".
if i delete pdfview, gswlx will be ok then.

Please post the [ListerPlugins] section here. It would be sufficient to post the two lines belonging to the two plugins gswlx and pdfview. There should be a line
0=Pluginfilename
and
0_detect=detect string

This detect string must be damaged.

23=D:\prog\totalcmd\plugins\LS\pdfview\pdfview.wlx
23_detect="ext="PDF" | ext="PS" | ext="EPS" | ([0]="%" & [1]="!" & [2]="P" & [3]="S") | ([0]="%" & [1]="P" & [2]="D" & [3]="F" & [4]="-")"
24=D:\prog\totalcmd\plugins\LS\gs\gswlx.wlx
24_detect="MULTIMEDIA & (EXT="PS" | EXT="PRN" | EXT="EPS" | EXT="AI" | EXT="PDF" | EXT = "PFB") | ([0]="? & [1]="? & [2]="? & [3]="?) | ([0]="%" & [1]="!")"

what's more, if i have gswlx only, the first preview, no matter what it is (such as synplus below), gets such a warning. so it seems to be a problem with gswlx.

22=%COMMANDER_PATH%\PLUGINS\LS\SynPlus\SynPlus.wlx
22_detect="([0]!="M" | [1]!="Z" | [2]!="P")"
23=D:\prog\totalcmd\plugins\LS\gs\gswlx.wlx
23_detect="MULTIMEDIA & (EXT="PS" | EXT="PRN" | EXT="EPS" | EXT="AI" | EXT="PDF" | EXT = "PFB") | ([0]="? & [1]="? & [2]="? & [3]="?) | ([0]="%" & [1]="!")"

Hi st,

don't know if it is important but the detect string for gswlx.wlx in my wincmd.ini reads different:

8_detect=MULTIMEDIA & (EXT="PS" | EXT="PRN" | EXT="EPS" | EXT="AI" | EXT="PDF" | EXT = "PFB") | FIND("%!PS-Adobe-") | ([0]="%" & [1]="!")

Perhaps you give that a try!
Grüße/Regards,
Wilhelm

Indeed the detect string is damaged. Several closing double quotes are missing. Try using the string from user. Wilhelm M..

1. your suggestion works. :)
2. i downloaded it again from http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/gswlx.html
but it still installs like before (not like yours).
this time, it writes the detect line to the bottom and so far it works all right. :evil:
