If I open the virtual desktop (by for example using the cm_OpenDesktop command) ONLY .lnk files that are physically situated in "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Desktop" can be executed.
.lnk files physically situated in "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop" can NOT be executed by double clicking/pressing Enter.

…And the arrows come back…
2ghisler(Author)
Good morning,
• I reported that issue which occured for me even in much older versions, and couldn't solve it, the *.lnk files don't work at all from any location in TC, while that works from Explorer and an old “2xExplorer” I keep “in the case”.
• I had fired the IsShortcut key as usual, I hate these overlay arrows on my Desktop icons…
• I tried the trick you indicate above, the *.lnk works again, but unfortunately, the awful arrows come back !
- Isn't it a way to get rid of these arrows keeping TC working for the *.lnk files ?
- Since Explorer does so, TC must do the same at least !
• Any idea ?

Re: Virtual Desktop .lnk files doesn't all work
Issue confirmed for the following T.C. versions running on WinXP Prof SP2:petermad wrote:If I open the virtual desktop (by for example using the cm_OpenDesktop command) ONLY .lnk files that are physically situated in "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Desktop" can be executed.

+ v6.56
+ v7.0pb4
+ v7.0rc1
P.S.:
And there is no issue whatsoever with my .lnk and lnkfile entries inside the registry. The IsShortcut value exists. Did not change anything.
