[Wish] Default bar

Post by *eugensyl »

2 Mr. Ghisler

If is not very difficult, it would be nice to have a check box in BAR MANAGER dialog box for establish the default bar.
When is checked it's mean the current edited bar (or loaded) will be the default bar.
Also maybe a internal command.

Thank you in advance!

Eugen

There already is a possibility to do this.

Just add an entry to the [Configuration] section of your WINCMD.INI :
Buttonbar=MyNameOfBAR.bar

where you can specify your personal default bar name.

The internal command to load a buttonbar on demand is OPENBAR <filename>.

Sorry for misunderstanding.
You are very kind, but I KNOW THIS.

I future development of TC I think it will be interesting to exchanges some custom bar, ready made, for example, bars made by Petermad, grouped in functional way: internal commands, OS commands, edit pictures, text editors, and so on.

Maybe, sometimes I want to make, for a while, default bar the current loaded bar. When load a bar with OPENBAR it's not mean the bar is default. That's ok.

I would be nice to have a internal command for this, doesn't mater how.
Something like:
IsDefaultBar=PATH\current.bar

Can be the same
Buttonbar=MyNameOfBAR.bar but with parameter (current bar) .

It's same command like in the exit dialog box: "Do you want to make current bar default bar?".

I hop is easy to understand now.

:idea:
A new item at right mouse button, above "Change...", on button bar with message:
"Make this bar default"
it's enough.

Best whises,
My Best Wishes,

Eugen

:) Hello!

• Another way and state of mind about the button-bars is THERE.
- It's something else than that you need, but finally the two join…

• These requests show a common annoyance : the frozen “Default bar” as currently is obsolete and not satisfactory.

• So, even if this is not that I would wish for my workflow style, I support your request. ;)
