The problem is sort-of fixed, but not as I expected:
The word 'FTP' no longer appears on top of the Lock Icon.
This is because the Lock Icon now disappears. The word 'FTP' still jumps to the left; where the icon used to be.

I would expect nothing at all to happen in the FTP toolbar when I switch to another drive.
Why would the Lock icon have to be hidden when I do this, while the rest of the FTP toolbar is still visible?
In my opinion, the Lock icon should show the secure/non-secure status of the last FTP-tab that was active (focused) in either panel. It should not revert to invisible when (temporarily) no FTP-tab is active.

That's EXACTLY what should happen now!The word 'FTP' no longer appears on top of the Lock Icon.
This is because the Lock Icon now disappears.
Beause you can disconnect all invisible connections this way, and to remind you that some connection(s) may be open! Why would the Lock icon have to be hidden when I do this, while the rest of the FTP toolbar is still visible?
This would be risky, the user may think that all unshown connections are secure...In my opinion, the Lock icon should show the secure/non-secure status of the last FTP-tab
