I use the Synchronize Directories function a lot, and so I think the following addition would make it even more easy to use:
The ability to include/exclude directories with one click, this could be a button or checkbox on the (grey) directory bar.
A doubleclick could also do it.
It would then be nice if on exclusion it would shrink (no files shown) and on inclusion would collapse (files shown in normal way)
When I thought about this I discovered a bug in the Synchronize Directories function (version 5.51):
A double-click on the directory bar does a File Compare; but there are no files to compare.

Good to know about the right mouse click! Actually, for very large directories, it's a bit slow, scrolling down all the way.
Yes it would be great to be able to collapse directories, but also to apply apply a left single or double click to the set. For instance by clicking on the directory bar just above the checkboxes.
As for the bug, there's a similar one - or rather a missing feature. Suppose you rename a file, and compare the directory with an earlier copy; or the file has a version number in its name. The file then appears on one line as left only, and on another line as right only. If you select both lines and do "Compare left & right", TC is not smart enough to... well, compare left & right
