CTRL-U and FTP: Tab title bug (7.0rc1)

Post by *pjotrb »

Hi,

If I open an FTP connection, and go to the dir /test, its Tab gets labelled something like this:
0:test

After doing Ctrl-U (switch Target <-> Source), the other panel shows the FTP connection, but suddenly the Tab title has become this:
f:test

If I then use the panel to go to C: and back to 0: it will show 0:test again.

The path (shown in the 'Panel caption bar') is always correct; it is only the Tab title that gets confused.

Found in v 7.0rc1.

If I do what pjotrb describes I don't get f:test - I get #:test :!:

Addendum!

With SFTP, I get the f: result.
With regular FTP, Ctrl-U puts #: in the Tab title.

I could reproduce it, thanks. This happens when TC fails to find the right connection number, so it thinks that the connection is dead. I will try to find a workaround.

Good morning.

(T.C. 7.0rc1)
What am I doing wrong, as I cannot reproduce the behaviour decribed:
(1)
If I open an FTP connection, and go to the dir /test, its Tab gets labelled something like this:
0:test
I opened an FTP connection. The tab was labelled "0:".
I went to "/home". The tab label changed to "home".

(2)
After doing Ctrl-U (switch Target <-> Source), the other panel shows the FTP connection, but suddenly the Tab title has become this:
f:test
If I then use the panel to go to C: and back to 0: it will show 0:test again.
I can press ctrl-u as often as I like, the tab label will stay the same:
+ it will be "0:" if I am in the root folder.
+ it will be "folder name" if I am in a subfolder.

Which setting(s) did I miss?

Which setting(s) did I miss?
"Configuration" -> "Folder Tabs" -> "Always show drive letter in tab title"

Or
DirTabOptions=1024+(whatever other values you have chosen)

Good evening, Christian.

I assume the issue may be considered solved in T.C. 7rc2.

Just opened 2 different FTP-connections to 2 different servers in 2 different tabs.
Switched tabs in the left and right panels and pressed Ctrl-U several times. The FTP-connections kept the correct tab headers.

Thanks for solving this small annoyance. :)
