Lister Plugin that makes http:// links CLICKABLE?

Post by *Jones_123 »

Hi,

I am doing this several times a day: I navigate with TC some TXT-Files, look into them with F3 and see a URL - then I have to copy that URL into my browser, what is quite awkward.

Isn´t there a Lister Plugin that will just make the URLs CLICKABLE, so a simple mouseclick will open them in my browser? This would really enhance the way of "looking" at txt-files enormous!

I checked the hpg_ed.wlx which is really quite neat - but unfortunately it does not "recognize" URLs... would it be a big task, to implement it?

I also, BTW, checked the Synus Plugin - it simply does plain NOTHING. I tried with several configs, killed all other plugin, checked the wincmd.ini and plugin-folder, nothing helps, this plugin just did not show up. is this a known bug?

Thanks for your attention and keep up the good work!

UV (see signature) supports URL highlighting in RTF mode.

Some plugins may exist, which built on MS RTF control - they should support this too,
as this feature is built in MS control.

I was about to recommend Universal Viewer at first, too.
Then again, Jones_123 is looking for some capable Lister plugin. No cheating, Alex. ;)

OK. UV is not a plugin. :)

Just searched totalcmd.net, cannot see plugins with this feature. I hoped that Syn, SynPlus have it: but no. I repeat: techninally, it's very easy to make such plugin: just to take an RTF control and enable this feature in it. But it seems nobody needs this.

NFOViewer will do the job, you just need to add "EXT="TXT" | " in front of its detect string, otherwise it couldn't handle *.txt.
F6, Enter, Tab, F6, Enter, Tab, F6, Enter, Tab... - I like to move IT, move IT!..
